Fly high     Fly safe     Fly away

Q?

Who can learn to fly

A.

Anyone with a positive attitude and a sense of adventure can try Flying Trapeze! For safety reasons, we require that all participants be over the age of 7 years and do not exceed the weight limit of 200 pounds.

Q?

Do I need to be strong

A.

No. By taking advantage of the timing involved with Flying Trapeze, first time flyers can learn several basic tricks without much upper body strength. We teach people how to use the momentum of the swing, rather than strength, to be successful. If you can successfully hang from a bar with your arms straight, you have the strength needed to participate in Flying Trapeze.

Q?

Are there any other restrictions

A.

If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will not be allowed to go on the trapeze.
If you are pregnant, or think you might be pregnant, Flying Trapeze is not for you.
If you have back, neck or shoulder injuries or have had surgery on these areas you should not go on the trapeze.
As with any exercise you are advised to check with your doctor if you are uncertain about your capabilities.

Q?

What should I wear

A.

We suggest a similar outfit that you would wear to the gym such as leggings or sweatpants and a tighter fitting top (nothing too loose or baggy).  Please, no jeans!  You will not wear shoes on the trapeze, go barefoot or socks can be worn.  Long hair should be pulled into a ponytail.  Leave your jewelry at home, especially your rings.  Glasses must be taken off before you go on the trapeze, so wear contact lenses if necessary.  No sunscreen is allowed on your bare arms or legs (okay on your face, but make sure your hands are clear of sunscreen after application).  Since we are located outside, it’s always important to factor in the weather when you are dressing for your class.  Layer up!

Q?

How high is the trapeze

A.

The board is 25 feet off the ground, but only 16 feet above the net.

Q?

Do I have to sign a waiver

A.

ALL participants must read, fill out and sign our liability waiver.  If a participant is under 18 years of age , the Waiver must be signed by a parent or the legal guardian.  Bringing a signed waiver with you on your first visit will save time when you check in.

Q?

Can my friends and family watch

A.

Friends and family are more than welcome to come and watch you on the trapeze.  Don’t forget a camera to take pictures and we invite you to post them on our Facebook page!

Q?

How do I sign up for a class

A.

From our website, check the Schedule area for when your class type is available and follow the directions that will lead you to our registration site. On-line registration for classes will begin on April 10.

Q?

Can I just show up to a class on your schedule without a reservation

A.

Yes. However, if the class is full, priority will be given to those who have already registered.

Q?

Are you open all year

A.

No, we are here only for the warm weather months at the present time.

Q?

Do you do birthdays or private events

A.

Yes we do! The cost depends on the number of participants, the length of the class, and the number of instructors needed for your special event. Various Flying Trapeze and/or Bungee Trampoline options are available. Please inquire at info@rockymountaintrapeze.ca with your specific request.

Q?

What is your Cancellation Policy

A.

All classes and event bookings are non-refundable.

Late Cancellation or No Show

All participants are paying for a reserved class space with a limited amount of availability, therefore we do not refund for  “late cancellation” (under 48 hours) or “no shows”.   Leaving us with less than 48 hours notice does not provide us enough time to re-book another participant to replace your class spot.

Flying Trapeze Class – Single Class

Please make sure you make any changes at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled class time.  A $10 fee applies to reschedule your class time.  See above with respects to Late Cancellation or No Show. Email us at registration@rockymountaintrapeze.ca with your cancellation/rescheduling request.

Progressive Flyer and Fearless Kids – Sessions

Please make sure you make any changes at least 7 days in advance of the first scheduled class time.  A $20 fee applies to reschedule your session.  If you find no suitable session to be rescheduled into, you will receive a credit that can be used to book into our various other classes. Email us at registration@rockymountaintrapeze.ca with your cancellation/rescheduling request.

What if the weather causes a class to be cancelled?

The trapeze rig is located outdoors, and therefore weather factors may affect its safe operation.  We always do our best to teach the class as long as we can do it safely.  High winds, lightning, and rainstorms may result in unexpected cancellation of classes or events on short notice.  The moment we know the class will be cancelled, we contact each participant registered in the class by phone or text.  Since weather is completely out of our control, there are no refunds for bad weather.  Instead, you will be given the option to reschedule to another class time.

What if a class or session is cancelled due to inadequate registration?

Please note that in the event of inadequate registration for a class or session, it may be cancelled at the discretion of Rocky Mountain Flying Trapeze, and you will be provided with options for registration into an alternate class/session.

Birthdays/Private Group Events

No refunds once booking confirmed.

Rescheduling requests made at least 7 days from event may be possible but not guaranteed, based on availability and a $50 rescheduling fee applies.   For unforeseen last minute weather related cancellations, we will do our best to reschedule your event (no fee);  should this not be possible,  you will receive a credit that can be used to book into our various classes.
